My Review:

I have been using these headphones for the past year (as of the date of this post) and have found them pretty good for gaming.

  • Material quality of headphones:

Let's start from the material of the headphones, for a budget gaming headset, the build is surprisingly good. It comprises of entirely plastic, but it doesn't feel flimsy or easily breakable. It is also a bit on the heavier side in terms of weight, weighing in at around 490 grams.

  • Comfort during usage:

The earcaps are well-made, according to its specifications, it is made from soft leather. It has a slight rubber-y texture and sits well on the ears. I've used it for more than 4-5 hours at a stretch and found it to be very comfortable, it does not feel heavy on your head and neither will it make your ears go red :P. If you use glasses like I do, they may not be as comfortable, but are way better in terms of comfort than some of the others.(Looking at you RedGear). The padding on its headband has the right amount of firmness in it and sits comfortably on top of your head.

  • Sound clarity:
Here comes the main part, for reference , I've used the JBL E40BT headphones, which is way out of this headphone's league, just to see how it would fare.
The audio clarity is crystal clear. It almost matches the JBL headphones when it comes to higher-pitched tones, but the differences are clearly evident in its bass. Inspite of the JBL headphones having a smaller driver, they are much better than these ones.

  • Microphone clarity:
The microphone on this headset is exceptionally good. It picks up audio very clearly and is quite sensitive. The mic is very well placed and can be tucked away easily without any hassles. It does not have any noise-filtering features, but due to its positioning, it will not pick up sound originating from behind the mic and can be used to communicate easily even with a TV running in the background.

  • Connector quality:
The headset comes along with two jacks(audio/mic) and one USB cable. The USB cable is used to power the LED lights present on the earcups and mic of the headset. The cables are braided into a single cable in a nylon/polyester blend material and are very durable(no wear/tear in a year of constant usage). The cables also come with a velcro strap, which can be used to shorten the length of the cable. The braided cable has a volume/mic control switch in it  and can be used to increase/decrease audio volume and mute/unmute your mic.

Here are a couple of images of my headset, (blue colour variant):

  • Final Verdict:
If you are looking for a pair of gaming  headsets under INR 2,000/ USD 23.60, these will give you the best bang for your buck and will last you a long time. If you are looking for one just for music, this won't be the best match for you.

Comfort             : 5/5
Build                  : 4.5/5
Audio Quality   : 3/5
Mic Quality       :5/5

Overall               : 4.5/5

If you are planning to use these headphones with a PS4/Xbox, you will have to buy an adapter cable to combine the headphone inputs.

For gaming in a budget, this is a must-have for anyone gaming online. Click here to buy these(India), and here for the US.
